Makerspace Teacher - Mrs. Danielle Comeaux

"The principal goal of education in the schools should be creating men and women who are capable of doing new things, not simply repeating what other generations have done; men and women who are creative, inventive and discoverers, who can be critical and verify, and not accept, everything they are offered." -Jean Piaget

Our Vision: Growth mindset principles provide the foundation for our Makerspace curriculum. The curriculum is a balance between guided projects, open exploration, and STEM projects. It will focus on building a sense of agency (I-can-do-it attitude), student empowerment, critical thinking, self-competence and confidence, patience, collaboration, attention to detail, knowledge of the design process, and having pride in one’s work, This is all made possible by offering the time and opportunity for students to engage, explore, and take risks in their learning through tinkering, prototyping, and iteration (repeating a process to test, improve and design).

Our Prayer: Lord, Today I pray for Creativity. Help me to use my God given talent to do your work. May everything I say and do, be a reflection of you. In Jesus name, Amen!
